Pharmacy Solar Asset Finance

Deal type: Renewable energy

Facility: Asset finance

Facility value: £35,000

The situation

One of our introducers referred us to a pharmacy owner in Manchester who wanted to install solar panels to reduce their energy consumption and costs.

The solution

We discussed the two solar funding options with the client: power purchase

agreements (PPAs) and asset finance.

We explained that a PPA would create a three-way agreement between them, the

PPA provider, and the energy company. They would need to pay the PPA company a portion of their energy savings over 15 to 25 years. With asset finance, on the other hand, they could pay it off in 5 to 10 years and keep 100% of the solar savings.

The result

The client opted for a multi-year asset finance deal. Our lender

provided staged payments to suppliers to fund each stage of the project.

Plus, the pharmacy didn’t start making their monthly repayments until the solar

panels were installed, saving them even further.

What the client said

“This is the first time I have used Wentworth Finance. I was referred separately by

two colleagues, and I have to say, it’s the best advice I’ve received. Dealt with a

number of finance companies and brokers in the past, and they’ve all been incredibly lacklustre and infuriating. It has been a fantastic experience, and I have subsequently recommended them to many friends, family and colleagues. No pressure selling or upselling. Just wonderful and open advice.”

Your finance deal is a conversation away

If you’re investing in solar panels, we know you want to save on your energy costs

as quickly as possible. With straightforward installations, our lenders typically

respond within 48 to 72 hours after receiving a proposal.
